We recently launched a GUI for VPNaaS in City Cloud and after some tweaks and beta testing we have now priced the feature and have now made it available for all users.
With VPNaaS you can create secure connections across different data centers and run your applications across multiple cities. You can set up a VPN tunnel between data centers or even your office directly into your OpenStack tenant. It gives you great potential for setting up high availability for your applications and services by spanning an internal network accross several different data centers and even locations in different clouds.
Quick connect – Easily setup VPN connections between City Cloud nodes.
If you need to create a quick connection between any of the City Cloud nodes you can use the quick connect feature. Everything is pre-configured and ready to launch. All you really need to do is to choose which nodes the VPN service should span and either use the automatically generated PSK or create your own.
Hit “Advanced options” to see the default setup and to make any changes.
Create VPN Service – Manual creation of VPN connections between City Cloud and anywhere
Use this option when you need to create VPN connections between any City Cloud node and perhaps your own data center, office or where ever your endpoint is located. When using this option you manually configure everything on your own. You can save IPSEC and IKE policies which can be of good use when creating many VPN connections.
As with all resources in City Cloud VPNaaS is billed by the hour at $0.01454. Log in to citycontrolpanel and try it out today!
