We have had a great couple of days in Gothenburg with both the IT Solutions Expo and #CloudBeerGothenburg meetup. We met with a lot of interesting people and had a chance to show off City Cloud OpenStack and our upcoming solutions for Desktop as a Service. Here is a recap of our road trip.
IT Solutions Expo
Two days of interesting meetings with representatives from the IT industry. On the first day we had a Live demo on stage where we displayed City Cloud OpenStack and all the cool features in the system which drew quite some attention. Not many other companies are using OpenStack the way we are, let alone connecting multiple data centers for a public IaaS.
We also set up a demo of Desktop as a Service from City Cloud. In our demo we used a Raspberry Pi to show how easy and cost efficient it is to get started with Desktop as a Service in City Cloud. More on this service and the core features in upcoming articles.
On the evening of March 4 we had the CloudBeer meetup in Gothenburg. Right after the trade show we met at Scancic Opalen for some food, networking and interesting talks about Docker, OpenStack, Beer brewing and Security in public clouds.
What is #CloudBeer?
#CloudBeer is a series of casual meetups for people who want to learn, teach and discuss cloud related topics. By hosting small events that evolve around pizza and cloud computing we hope to learn new things, get new perspectives and meet new friends. Our aim is to make CloudBeer your favourite spot to meet like-minded people in your area, where no topic is discarded and everyone get´s to bring something to the table.
