City Cloud continues to expand with new features and launch a new, free monitoring tool within it’s Cloud infrastructure. City Monitor takes advantage of the ever growing infrastructure that City Network is building in it’s data centers around the world and is designed to function as the perfect monitoring tool for anyone.
City Monitor is released in public beta as of today and right from the start, users will be able to create 5 free checks to monitor their City Cloud servers and other web applications and pages. The service is independent and works for any web service regardless of where it is hosted. As with most monitoring tools, different kinds of monitoring options will be available, such as HTTP, HTTPS and PING.
The basic service is and will continue to be free for up to 5 checks and pricing options for even more checks will be available later on. The service is available from within City Cloud and both new and existing uses can start using the service as of today.
City Monitor is a free, standalone, monitoring service for anyone. Johan Christenson, CEO of City Network explains; Our mission is to make life easier for those who are involved in IT. Monitoring is something that most people have spread over several services and after some time cost adds up dramatically. By launching an easy to use, free service, weather you use any of our other services or not, we make life a little easier and our customers gain control. City Cloud is your one stop shop for your hosting needs in Europe.
We have all the tools and infrastructure needed to provide a competitive monitoring tool, says Magnus Bergman, CTO at City Network.
He elaborates; The challenge is to be able to output a credible result and of course to put it all together as an easy feature or application. The infrastructure that we are building for City Cloud is perfect to host such a monitoring service. But the true heroes are our developers, they really outdid themselves this time.
City Monitor is released in public Beta and is available in City Cloud as of today. Anyone can sign up for City Cloud and start using any of the attached services right away. City Cloud include servers, storage, backup and monitoring among other things.
