EuroCloud is an organization which is present all over Europe. It is arranging the first large cloud awards throughout Europe using four cloud categories. Those are: ”Best cloud service”, ”Best Startup” and ”Best case study both in public and private sector”. City Networks cloud computing service took the highest honor and won in the category of “Best Cloud Service” in the Swedish section of EuroCloud.
Winning this award is a huge acknowledgement from an independent organization and jury consisting of some of the most prominent IT people in Scandinavia. Those were Predrag Mitrovic, CEO MyNetHouse and spokesperson for Cloud Sweden, Magnus Höij, editor in chief for Internetworld and Cloud Magazine and Hans Werner, CEO at Radar Group International.
Next step for City Cloud is to compete against the other national winners around Europe for the award of best European Cloud Service. This takes place in Luxembourg towards the end of June and will lure the cloud elite from each nation.
– We are very humbled in receiving this award. We are thrilled for the recognition of a service we have put tremendous effort into growing and creating. We are also thankful that we have organizations such as EuroCloud that is continuously working hard to educate and provide insight into this market which is so important to Europe as a whole, said Chairman Johan Christenson.
– We have worked almost four years developing our cloud computing service City Cloud. All with the intention of being simple yet extremely powerful with a price point anybody can find attractive. The recognition we get here with such a prominent jury stating we have the best service is tremendous. We now hope to go to Luxemburg to win best cloud service on a European level as well, said Christenson.
On the 27-28th of June at the EuroCloud Congress the European winners are announced. City Cloud will be there together with the European cloud elite.
